Try River guden at randers and near viborg,also northern side of scandaborg.Take two keepnets because 200lb is very achieveable on the lake.You might want to try fishing 8 meters to hand with 16 elastic with size 10 hooks!Also chest waders are absolutley vital.one thing i found is that if you bump your fish, youll foul hook the one above it.

Ken the idea of staggering the close season is a good one,but i think another one would be to just move it to the hardest months of the year December,January and February.At this time of the year the majority of rivers are regulary washed out and only fishable to the most hardy of anglers.Doing this would still allow us to do the necessary decorating and give us river anglers a magic date to look forward to.
