Cheers mate, i've been looking more at the Anker. You can park in the castle car park and walk across the bridge and fish there, not much idea on how it's fishing but looks pritty promising though

Hi,all i have been looking for some good rivers in the midlands. I have been doing some research on the River Anker in tamworth by Lady bridge. Has anyone fished a stretch near here, and where can you park. Also i have noticed a stretch of the tame that runs through perry hall playing fields. Can you fish there. Thanks Jack1432.

Hi all Just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about a stretch of the stour just above kidderminster. Ive seen something about it on a different forum but it was from 2009. he said it was a free stretch, but not exactly where in kiddy.any one know? thanks Jack.

while trotting on my local river blythe about 6 months ago i came across a small grass snake. first snake i have seen in britain.

hi i have been fishing with a pole for about 4 years now, it is a great peace of kit. i have a pole that looks like that. i have landed a 9lb carp on it so that pole should be fine.

i fished for stillwater chub and i caught them midwater on 3 maggots. i was feeding 1 pouchful of maggot and caster every 50 seconds. (float fishing) PS: IT WAS A WARM DAY

i will be fishing at a farm pond. if possible i will float fish. roach have been caught to just over 3lb's. the shoals are medium i have caught roach a the pond to 1lb 6oz .the water is murky.

I sometimes fish a small stretch of the river blythe in coleshill there is 4ft of water and 3ft of crayfish. when the baliff came round he said that he put out 15 traps in a 1 mile stretch of the blythe(the small stretch is 2 and a half miles long) and he caught 550 crayfish in 1 day.
