first the braid issue,i fish the ribble and people that do ,no its dowfall.the ultima flow cast as been mentioned,they say it floats allday but dose it,i lost a fish the other day,my fault ,when i ever fish in rough areas i take a couple of rod lenghs of the end,any nicks or scrapes will happen there.i dont want to loose a fish ,for the sake of being lazy

even on ebay you can be fooled,a couple of years ago 3x harrisons,built to spec ,i asked are they the same action,they were all 3.25tc.the answer came back yes,yes what .by the time i could send a question and reply theyed be gone ,so i bought them ,saved a packet ,but the guy was selling for a mate i later found out.i woulnt recom doing that much ,if at all

no andy it was a payback,9 bearings and 5years warrenty,he is happy i saved enough to spool up both reels,and yes you can get a good shimano ,buts whats with the ha ha its not a comp,im just saying you can buy a cheap reel and play a fish off the drag ,without backwineding.you could;nt do that10 years ago with confidence

i have a c3 [the one with the drag underneath ]if this is the same reel only problem the bale alarm wont automatically return,i dont know what it would cost to repair

a few months ago i took my lad for a new reel ,for waggler and teaching him with a stick float when the time came round.i wasnt intending spending alot but wanted something that would last,i had a okuma in mind for about 30 quid ,but when he clapped eyes on the red drennen his mind was made up.since he got it he;s used it about 6 times ,myself about 15, what a reel for 20 quid ,thers a match and feeder and also a more expensive one.but what else would you expect of drenenn

look for the eddie turner range,i prosume its bass at sea your after ,but what are you throwing on land,thats a wide range,i have a9ft 2.75 which could handle allot of what you need it for ,again think what you want it to do how much your prepaird then ebay
