  1. Renrag, Actually I'm going to fish these weekend and I'll make a short report. I think it'll be interesting for you.
  2. Dave, I prefer Daiwa feeders. I have one and cought a lot of fish by it. If you want to cover as more cases as you can I advise you to buy Team Daiwa feeder 3.9m and 150 g test. Good luck.
  3. Andrew, You'll be able to use glue bags with pellets which you must put on the hook if this doesn't contradict the rules of the club. And you must use a plummet instead of a feeding. the pellets have to be able to sink. I usually prepare such pellets myself. You need ground sunflower cake and dough. You must mix them make pellets and boil them about ten minutes. Than you must put them on sheet of paper and dry them during three days. In my case such pellets are very efficient. Good luck.
  4. Hi David. I want to say that it was not a strange catch. Our family cought a lot of Pike using maggot from middle of Septemper till beginning of November every year. Those fishining days are most favourite days of my mother. She can catch many serious fishes as she calls Pike.
  5. Hi Elton. If you like to use float then you have only two variants. You can use patchtip rod or match rod. Both these rods will allow you to catch enough big fish. As well as they'll allow you to catch any sort of fish which are you described. First of all you must learn the place of fishing. Than you need to determine your budget for buying of rod (as a rule the patchtip rod is more expensive than match one). And the last but not least you must be ready to experiment. Good luck.
  6. Hi Dales. I have caught breams in river this year and I can say that bream changes his location during the year. The bream shoals are located near the beach from middle of April till middle of June. Then they move to more deep spots of a river but not most deep. The depth from 4 to 6 m is most appropriative. Starting from middle of September the bream shoals move to most deep spots of the river and stay there till start of new spawning season. I want to summarize. We have three different period of bream fishing. 1. Middle April till middle June - You don't need to feed bream much to hold it. (Feed frequency is 50 grams of bait each ten minutes. The bait must contain a lot of protein) 2. Middle June till middle September - You don't need to feed bream much to hold it. (Feed frequency is 50 grams of bait each ten minutes. The bait mustn't contain a lot of protein) 3. Middle September till middle November - You need to feed bream much. (Feed frequency is 100 - 150 grams each ten minutes. The bait must contain a lot of protein) I want emphasize that if you want to catch really trophy bream you have to fish at depths which are correspond to period. Good luck.
  7. Thank you John. Unfortunaly I can see only one rig which is semi fixed rig. I prefer such rig as asymmetrical loop. I want to know what hooks you use. I use only Gamakatsu hooks which size is 14. What hooks can you advise me? I use cord as basic fishing-line. My cord has 0,17 mm in diameter. Can I move to smaller cords if my catch doesn't exceed 2 kg. How do you connect a fishing-line with a rig? Have you some interesting knots? Thank you for answers.
  8. Hello Everybody. I'm from Ukraine. There are many middle size rivers in our country where we can use feeder for fishing. Feeder is relatively new method of fishing in our contry that's why I want to know how people use it in other contries. What kind of riggings do you have? What feeding up do you use? What ledger-baits are most efficient? And so on. There are such types of fish in our rivers as: -carp -ide -roach -bream -crucian -tench etc. Please share your experience with me. Thank you.
