For instance, I like to fish with extra heavy feeder, because that tackle allows me to struggle with little roach as like as with big carp on powerful rivers like Dnepr, Seversky Donets and so on. If you want to define what type of fishing you like more you have to ask yourself What type of tackle do you like? If you like float in quiet water or carp tackle and you like to force when you reel out then you like fishing on the still water. But if you like heavy feeders, spinning or fly fishing tackle or some types of float tackle (for example match), you must go fishing only in the river. For instance I like river fishing because I like to catch big fish with delicate tackles. And I consider the river flow not like an obstacle and only like opportunity to have fun.

And one more info, there isn't such sing in Russia. When landlord of pond lays down a rule that All fish must be returned alive he tolds about that before you start to fish, that's why we don't have any similar sings.

I use 2,5 lb trace and 16 size hook. And 8lb line as basic line.
