I have a solid glass-fibre 50 - 80lb boat rod going for grabs. The roller tip eye is there, but no others, has a wooden handle with chrome butt. With a little care & attention will make a nice rod!

Help I've got the first bit of the knot, the bit on the main line but not the rest. Anyone out there know how to finish it? a diagram would really help !

Have fished Sand Bay & the point in the past with varying results using simple rigs (running ledger or 1/2 hooks clipped up, for a bit more distance). Hi bushwacker, i am a carpenter & joiner by trade & i can honestly say that the best approach to working with wood ( or any other material for that matter ) is 'hands on'. Try your local technical college, you will probably find that they run evening courses at all levels. Good luck, wood is a beautiful thing to work with!
