Nope. they are definately either doctored photographs or the skirts are designed to be see through... know of no graphics designers who could paint skirts that accurate.. and lets face it, why have a wedgie painted on.

  3. New to this forum, So Hi peeps, I'm giving it a go, not much else to do.
  4. To answer Davy's and others questions, The NFSA is blatantly biased towards England because it is there to represent English Anglers.. The rest of the UK are governed by their own regulatory bodies, The Scottish Federation of Sea Anglers, The Welsh Federation of Sea Anglers and the Irish Federation of Sea Anglers. Which I take it you are members of, If not why not. The NFSA was formed in 1904 and as such was the Angling reps for UK. Since then the WFSA (1955) The SFSA (?) and the IFSA (1953) Have been formed. As the Senior Governing body still and UK Representatives in conjunction with the other angling authorities abroad IMHO They should retain the Title of NFSA instead of changing it to the English Federation of Sea Anglers. Also they are stewards of all UK Records and concerned with fishing, Conservation, and Competions throughout the British Isles. But I could be wrong :-)
  5. Just a small little rant. I received the NFSA Quarterly Journal Today. Was very dissapointed reading the Head Office Report. In it it is claimed that since the start of runing personal and individual memberships only 5614 members throughout UK have bothered to join up. Why Join up? The NFSA as an organisation are fighting our corner in promoting conservation issues to Govt and EU and is still the only way many anglers views can be expressed about the future participation of our sport. Unfortunatly it all costs time and money so I urge all those who are not members to visit the NFSA website and sign up immediately. It only costs £10 for individual membership and £15 for personal membership. As a personal member you get a free NFSA diary and a quarterly Newsletter plus other angling benefits like the specimen award scheme, Angling liability Insurance etc. What annoyed me most was a quote in the journal that anti anglers were willing to pay more to ban it than anglers were to protect and promote angling, Think about it. Its your future fishing at stake. Go to http://www.nfsa.org.uk for more information. Soap box chant over. (for a while)

  8. For what its worth re: the Dumpies, a few years ago I seem to remember reading something about Cod in the channel area have larger heads for their size because of cross channel ferries using plastic throwaway cups for teas/coffees etc. people were throwing these overboard. These cups were floating around in the sea about mid water and cod were eating them thinking they were squid. The ferries were lobbied, I beleive by the NFSA, I could be wrong, to change the cups to the polystyrene ones which float on the surface. problem eliminated. hope this helps even though I'm probably barking up the wrong tree
  9. In answer to your fish breeding negatives, firstly I didnt mean to breed the fish so they'd be big enough to eat sand eels. getting them through the hatching and initial fry stage would be enough because as you must know the biggest danger to all fish is the egg to small fry stage of which only about 20% max survive to adulthood. and if the fish need food , well breed that as well creating another industry. Its negative attitudes like that is why cod is in the state were in. "nothing can be done so lets do nothing etc"
  10. RE: Mr fergus Ewing MSP reply to Mr Noble Just to clarify some of his feedback. He admits in Canada Cod fishing got depleted so much, after 10 years it has not yet recovered. the fishing industry in the UK has devastated fish stocks to the point the levels are estimated to be dangerously low. and Mr Ewing says even if we do stop they might not recover anyway. So do we a). carry on as normall so all fish will be wiped out for generations to come devastating his constituents fishing industry anyway, but at least they might vote for him next time. or . Stop fishing and start fishbreeding industries and hope the stocks do recover.
