  1. While I mourn the fact that Lea is "bowing out", doesn't this just prove that anglers don't care enough about what will happen to them. this link 'just'stopped..WHY?
  2. I would think that that is just moving the problem further downstream to the next snag. Surely we pay the EA to REMOVE the rubbish, not let it drift downstream.
  3. Townlad you've said it all! I have a mobile as my missus is blind and has MS so it is important to have a way of getting hold of me when i'm fishing so it switched on with the keyboard locked all the time i'm away. BUT I won't answer if I am driving.
  4. I was just listening to "when I see an elephant fly" and I wondered - 1: How big is an elephant fly? 2: Is their bite painful? 3: Are they poisonous?
  5. Gee, they sound worse than an old woman with wet knickers
  6. e-mailed EA have not yet even had an aknowledgement.
  7. I normally start river fishing in the winter, however I have a mate who is in his late 70s and needs disabled access. can anyone recommend a good fish producing winter lake within an hours drive from Cheltenham?
  8. Peter, WE are all (I hope) sane adult people so why don't we 'vote with our feet' and form this utopian oganisation and let the anglers see what can be done, and if they stop belonging to their various organisations and joined this one, the big "fat cat" organisations would go to the wall, thereby allowing this organisation to improve the lot of ALL anglers.
  9. Pheeeeeeew!!!!
  10. I think the best thing to do is to boycott the Red Cross as it offends the Christians!!   By the way, why do they call themselves the Red CROSS!!!
  11. I was one side of a very wet field and they were the other, otherwise I would have, even though it wouldn't of helped.
  12. Funny, I always thought the EA was there to help us. I went fishing today (I know, lousy weather etc.) on the Severn at Sandhurst, doing quite well too. Along comes this EA van and opened the locks(?)on the Sandhurst Stream (river?) and allowed all the rubish out, and I mean RUBBISH, ther was old footballs, car wheels complete with tyres, limbs from trees between 4" and 6" diameter which completely ruined the fishing. The best is, when they saw me packing up, they stood there laughing.
  13. I have a feeder rod which has a cork handle and two rings to slide either side of the reel to hold it in place. Can anyone tell me how to take the rings off and replace it with a 'proper' real seat.
