I use Vanish and I`ve had the same problem when striking.I`m of the opinion that maybe Chub are the culprits,taking the lot back into it`s throat(pharyngeal)teeth. Ken

Thanks for the offer Peter(step in Steve)but I don`t think it`s for me.I`m quite happy with brollies, except when walking a mile or so to the better river swims when the least weight carried is helpful.

Maybe thats why my last one didn`t last,it only cost £28,but it was nice and light. Anyhow,thanks Andrew & Peter,just a question of which one to plump for now.

Anyone know where to get a DECENT 50" lightweight brolly.My last one is coming apart at the top and didn`t even last a season. I used to use the wavelock type but it gets a bit heavy on a long hike.

Doh!Now I see why a camouflaged seat would be an advantage. So these bulls don`t see you. But still watch out for the bushes.

Inside "PIKE & PRED" mag was a flyer for the Smartcast range. Rod mount & Wrist mount came with a 6 month warranty only. I may be cynical,but it doesn`t instil much confidence in my books.

Just got "Carp mart" with IYCF and in it is an ad for a telescopic ladder.I can`t wait for the portable cement mixer to help build my peg.

Look just northeast of M57/M62 junction at the HALSNEAD caravan park.I think some one like Prescott Angling Club took it over from B.I.C.C. a while ago.
