Mostly online and e-bay, David. Any bits and bobs I get from wherever I am - Mikes, Deals on Reels, GAC etc I travel about a bit so it's not really a problem.

What jellies are preffered - Rowntrees or Chivers and how do you get that stuff to stay on the hook?

Sounds like a 6/0 pennel set up with big squid/shellfish baits should do the trick!

Do you use beads and attractor blades when the water clears or just big baits? I also believe that artificials are a popular method for the cod - moreso than down here on the SE.

What's the average size of boat cod up that way - down here its usually around 4lb - doubles are very rare.
