I have found over the years Tench and Bream in the areas i fish respond best when i pre-bait or dump 4-5kg's in at the start. ground bait mix consists of brown crumb,layers mash(chicken feed-cheap)and liquid molases. either fish straight running ledger or float with bait nailed to the bottom,or slightley over depth. I have been fishing a water that is quite deep in the side recentley and have been using polaris type floats with some success.

NTL are installing broadband fairly quick at the moment(well they are in bedfordshire) , and its free for the first 6 weeks

I've bin using Diawa's sensatrons for a good few years with little trouble, some mail orders are offering them two for £40 at the moment. If they fail Diawa offer full repair for a tenner. My mate sent his off went it failed and they sent back a new unit!

Most of my perch are coming out of the ouse at the moment, stumbled upon them whilst after the chub last year, also taking a few nice barbel. I tend to fish parts of the river that most people can't be bothered to walk to (just me and the cows it seems at times). I try and spread my time between bother lakes/pits and rivers, just depends on the time of year really. Tench have got to be my all time best, just hope the carp boys continue to feed them up, there getting bigger all the time.

Thanks for the welcome. Perch Tench and Bream are my normal targets. Being outside after spending most of the week in an office is what its about for me. Have fished for the some 35+ years so far , I think it all started when I was about 7-8 years old. I have been trolling around numerous uk fishing web sites, just having a look, saw this one and the dates on postings showed continuous interest so i thought i give it go. Great stuff
