This female Blue shark was caught today by Mr Brian Oates from the isle of Man, who is on the left. It is well over two metres in length and approx 100lbs in weight. Oh and it was 34c on the deck and sunny

Stoaty whilst i don't disagree with you, email, forums, text is all very flat and without any emotion. The original post had no LOL, smileys etc. Coupled with the fact that everybody who has answered has thought along the same lines, perhaps the posting could have been worded better for the mood in which it was intended. It is not so a humour injection thats required in this instance i feel.

I think we have to ease up on this topic now as although a mistake was made by the sound of it. We have no wish to put off a young angler from fishing or posting. I am sure that Matt will learn and very quickly as he has a thirst for knowledge. All part of the learning curve. Dave

I think my post was missread or interpretated. I was not knocking anybody for their age, but they could not have had the misfortune to have had to try to earn a living under the last labour government. And those that were old enough to vote became dissilusioned with the conservative one. I am not knocking anyone for their beleifs just really stating mine, i am in fact in complete ageement with you.

I was 29 and you have to be about my age to have worked ubder the last labour govenment. I never knew when i would next get a full weeks pay, if was not on strike then it was one of the suppliers. It was absolute mayhem, and the only reason they got in again is because there are so manyvoters younger than me who could not know any better. Come to think of it, everybody is younger than me

I know exactly how you feel, i used to coach 10 younsters at a time. One session a week sea fishing and another each week freshwater fishing. Some of the kids had adhd and i only found out by talking to the kids even though the council official signed them all in and was supossed to write down contact numbers and any problems. The best bit was when a reporter from the local paper came down to write a piece about what i was doing for the kids, i had to phone the parents or guardians before he was allowed to take any pics of them. After each 3 hours session i used to spend the rest of the day in a dark room. Try explaining to a mother that her son has been sick because he eat some of the maggots so he could look harder that his mate. Women just don't understand!!!!!

The water temp is up to 18c now, a couple more degrees and i will start using them Snatcher. I will let you know as soon as i have tried them

I tried the lake for pike once, isaw some carp moving near the island so i put a rod out for carp and landed the "Pig" at 24lbs at my first attempt. I do not think i was to popular

Yes John, we had one last year as well but not as big. They seem to come up in the water and take the Sardines that we use as Shark bait. I have to say you need to be very carefull when unhooking then or they would have your finger off

I would be interested to know the true meaning as my wife calls me that virtually every day, i think its a term of endearment!!!!
