  1. Hi Mike, Granted im not great at boat fishing.. It might be a good idea to fill the whole lot with braid? Just say for instance the whole lot went ping on a snag(touch wood-And it can happen, just ask what i did to norries reel full o braid at amble) If the reel was full with braid you could still fish on, whereas with backing on then youde need to start from scratch or use another reel... Shaun
  2. Hi Jeepster, Seen you on the box last night... Now that derik bloke realy is funny..With all that getting taking over by a ghost Funny stuff...He should win an oscar but when you an them other lads went down to the tunnel, that looked scary, What happened down there??? ghost pumpkin ghost You looked a frightened bunch... 3. Bob, Is there any fish at that bit at your front door???? Lucky sods God knows how many miles im away from the sea... Youse are a lucky lot living at the orkneys... 4. IF farming and fishing is so much alike, They should be treated alike eh..?? They look after the future crop from the land but not that of the sea... Wheres the logic?
  5. Nah Farmers have much more sence... At least they make sure there is a good breeding stock, and that they have enough young to replace the animal sthat go to the slaughetr... And when a fiekld starts to get lack of nutrients and has been raked barran, They leave it alone for a while, and look after it and make sure the soil is replenished, Hey now theres a thaught, If the goverment Pays farmers to have set aside land which allows the field to be replenished in years to come, Why cant they do that with the sea...???Pay all the skippers(and keep watch on the area ofcoarce) Makes sence, Leave an area alone for a few years and let it recouperate after a seasons raking...
