hi norrie, told ya had quite a snow flurry here too, but it is too windy for it to lay! it is a bit baltic i would agree.... wind 30mph gusting to about 50mph, and wind chill temp is -11c and the flaming ferry is sailing, albeit late, it left stromness 15 minutes ago so a late one for me tonight, flotation suit required i think tonight

we get a few over here bob, caught them off holborn head whilst spinning. can't say i have seen them in any sort of numbers though.

david, i am sure i will be corrected very quickly if i am wrong, but i think we fish in anything around the 20 - 30m mark and yes a lot of it is rough ground, though the odd sand bit pops up aswell. shore fishing depends on the weather and sore heads going by last time but there is the choice, the two can be done from one location, the best bet is to see what happens that weekend i have a couple of ideas of places for shore fishing, but as i say, it depends how cruel mother nature is being to us
