A spot of 3 in 1 oil every other week on anything that can move on the reel.Dry the reel off if wet.If you really need to clean it,a damp cloth is best,wait till dry,then a wipe over with a cloth wetted with Son of A Gun,or Armourall gives it that new out of the box look..

I'm having the same problems too.And yes you've guessed it,I'm with NTL as well.Hopefully the work they are doing to the e-mail system will help clean all this crap up.If not,then I'm gonna change.With Nrton popping up every five minutes or so with a virus warning it is really pi55ing me off,and another week of it i'm gonna start pi55ing NTL off with complaints about the amount of spam I'm getting. :mad:

Having big problems trying to get into my mates site www.fishingtalkireland.com Everything was fine untill 3 days ago,when I click on the shortcut i have, the timer comes up ,stays there trying to connect to the site,then it times out.I have no other problems except with this one site. Talking to the mate mentioned and he says my I.P. isn't blocked,have tried a link from Google,no joy. Emptied my cookies,no joy. Have tried most things i know may affect it,but still can't get in. However, i did get into the site on Friday night,posted a few things and come Saturday,back to not being able to enter the site. :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: Anyone any ideas whats up?...Cheers Des.

I've had the Daiwa powermesh Pike for as long as they have been available,at present the X version,but the z version is the newer one available at the mo.Never ever found a reason to change because they have been superb.3 lb t.c. and they can really fire out a bait,or fish the margins if need be.Daiwa's finish their rods very well,and they do take a bit of abuse.If I ever do change,it'll be for Northwestern Kevlites in 2.75 and 3lb t.c.I did get 3 Kevlites in 1.5lb for targeting Tench,and they are superbly built fishing rods,so it'll be a change for me,maybe next Autumn.

And what makes you think the Pike are easier?... This has been the worst year for Pike that I can remember,and it's not just me either.Ireland is going down the plug at an increasingly worrying rate. :mad:
