G'day guys! Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in..... Firstly - well done for such an objective review. I'd like to clarify a couple of points. Re the rudder mounting...... The bolts holding the "U" bracket does look a little flimsy. However the nuts that the bolts tighten into are actually captive within the manufacturing process. Rudder controls as foot rests....... You can secure the rudder down when not in use - then the pedals become footrests..... Sorry to hear you couldn't get into the surf with the "X". I know its quite a large clip - but if you want to see an X do a surf beach launch & landing "Aussie style" visit http://www.fishyak.com/videoclips.html Finally, I'd like to ask your permission to use the photo, "standing up" on the Fishyak website? Hi Guys, Just to let you all Know, we will have the first ever Malibu Fishing Kayak in the UK next week. You can see it down at the "South of England Agriculture Society Show" on the 1st and 2nd of October. Yes - its fair to say if you drive at night (or v early in the morning) you are guaranteed to see roo's and if you do more than 60km an hour you are going to get up close and personal with em! Thats why when you see pics of our cars we have ridiculously large Roo bars fitted to even small cars. Trouble with the roos is they cross roads in convoy - and are pretty stupid creatures.... G'day Guys You asked for info on fishing kayak stories from here. Great news is an article about kayak fishing has just been published in our best selling local (WA) fishing mag. Rather than upload all the images I've put it on my website for you lot to have a read. Be patent with the images downloading, I've had to keep the res quite high on the scan - so each pic is about 300kbs over 4 pages - enjoy! PS - The Red Fin Perch which the article is about is classed as a imported pest here. Along with foxes, rabbits and cane toads (at least the poms can't be blamed for the cane toads) I'm sure you guys will recognise it as simply a perch - we fly fish and spin for the critters here....... Hi Kelvin Unless you buy about 60 (a container load)- its not going to be viable....... Your 180 pound quote will turn into nearer 1000 pounds per yak - as they will cube the weight.although they only weigh, lets say 20kgs the volume the yak takes up in an aircraft is taken into consideration. I speak from experience on this mate - I had my first Malibu X delivered - shipping+ duty (only 5%) + Gst 10% (your vat) here alone (via air) was cost in quids EXCLUDING paying for the plastic 1200 pounds I hope this isn't too depressing for you..... Since then I've imported 2 x containers loads of Malibu's into Australia. and I'm looking for a business partner (or two) to start getting these Rolls Royce of yaks into Blighty!! Any of you buggers got deep pockets and big balls!!? Fishyak

I'm sure you must have the same frustrations we had, when talking to paddle sport retailers that know zero about the requirements of a fishyaker... :confused: In the USA there are plenty Over here in Oz there are about 4 or 5 Anything planned?
