  2. Looks old then again I guess he is I was far more youthful in my article!
  3. However, I did find your question as to whether they’d been released slightly disingenuous, as having spoken to the bloke on the gate at the car park, you obviously already knew they hadn’t. Perhaps you were hoping to prove me a liar as well? No the guy just tod me you had had 2 fish > i did not ask him if you were carrying dead fish. You said a couple of times thet you lose interest once you have caught fish for the pot. , a statement that i did find strange Well if thats the case then you had best look for a different hobby and buy farmed sustainable fish from Tesos. My mistake for not asking if you catch and release. You live and learn
  4. I share a special place and you kill every fish you catch.Im a ****ing idiot!!!!!! 3 out of 3 . my ratios 170 /0 this season If you kill them they cant breed and they wont be back. Its bad enough that it goes on around me but helping a you to catch and kill bass that have not even bred yet Im a ****ing fool. I fished with a great bunch of guys from this foum this year we had a great time and had great fish and all were released. Sorry your a nice guy but greedy and I regret taking you fishing I learned a few lessons this weekend too
  5. Fished Saturday with Kevin, took him to a few marks I suspected would have a fish. Fished plugs for bass. No manicles ,too windy. I had 6 all were 2 1/2 to 3 Lb (all returned) Kev had 1 , the fish was less fortunate ,(it was his first) . I understand he had 2 from the same area today prior to our arrival so hopefully they swam away? I took a guest to the same marks one hour behind kevin and had sweet FA which was an unwelcome surprise. He did have a 3 1/2 lb + pollack on a shallow diver in 20 foot of water which was rather a welcome surprise
  6. things look ideal for a paddle to THE MAINICLES !! im rather excited
  7. They are hard to spot dur to thier size . But may I suggest a trip to South East Asia as It was apparant to me that ''girls dancing on Pat Pong rd had rather small mermalian protruberences. This would make an excellent starting point for a quest to find a flat witches tit. By the way Kev and I missed each other today. Communication breakdown. I have left a message so hopefully we can go for a paddle tommorow
  8. Were meeting up Manicles bass hide were coming to get ya. (provided its flat as a witches tit that is!)

  17. Ok couple of questions I have fitted an eagle 240 to the yak. I set the fish ID to on. You get 3 sizes of fish on the display. What would you say they regard as big -med -small. Ive had a load of small fish and mediums come up and seen nothing more than a few sandeel under the yak. I would expect being American that a big fish would be a BIG fish. But I had a load of Big icons on screen and caught 2-3 lb fish straight after. Is there a standard configuration for these finders or is my eagle turning tiddlers into lunkers? Question 2 Obviously the display scrolls so if you see 4 big fish in a row at say 10 foot depth is that really 4 fish or is it the same fish showing up 4 times# Cheers OZ
  18. looks like theres another 16 holes that need fixing up to me
  19. I say overline for kayak fishing ive been fishing an 8# line on a 7 # rod and it suits the situation. This may slow the rod down but you will be casting downwind from a yak so the larger loop will not be an issue. It also means there will be less effort in loading the rod and you wont need to arialise so much of the head of the line to load the road up ready to shoot. Good luck OZ
  20. Add that to he never ending list then!
  21. Have any of you guys fitted one ? would it be worth bothering with the p13 hull shape. I paddled across the tide and sideways to the swell for a couple of miles last night and found myself sloshing around a bit and losing direction. Cheers OZ
  22. If any of you guys fancy a trip out to the manicles then please get in touch. Im desperate to get out there and could use some company , bait plug fly I dont mind just need a calm sea and not too much tide to begin with. Its only a mile out OZ
