ok they arn't as big as what i thort then....they look huge on the pic! Do you often catch on lures then?

when i fishing at the weekend, the river was frozen over. So i filled my giant swimfeeder full of sweetcorn or anything heavy and cast it like 300000 metres up into the air, only for it to crack down on the ice spiltting it open.

yeah they would be good if you know that there are some monsters in the venue of which you are fishing. But i wouldn't suggest trying them in an untryed water as these really wont be taken by a tiddler!! That is if they are as big as they look from the picture!

Anybody have any top tips on catching minnows?

while on the subject of minnows.... If there a good method of catching minnow because i am planning on targeting some big perch which i have seen.

I really was quite stunned when i see this tiny little boy hauling in a fish nearly the same size as him. I asked him what he caught it on and he replied 'dunno, just this fish that my dad gave me last week'

if it helps you i fished next to a 7 year old today, i pulled out 3 pike, a 13lb, a 6lb and a 3lb. Felling rather smug i poured myself a coffe. After the coffee i just couldnt catch. And this 7 year old pulled out a 25lb!! I soon went home after being done over by a boy nearly 3/4 of my age.

there is a slow flowing river in my area that always seems to carry duckweed on its surface. It also carry alot of leves and twigs with it as well, not idel when i am looking for sensitive bites!

went down the tackle shop today to find that they are doing a special pike fishing bait deal. 10 spras, 3 joey mackerals, 5 roach for £2.50. I though this was such a bargain i bought 5 pike packs and am going to save them until i need them !!
