  1. It's not just not being able to access the site, I regularly have to go and log in as it only recognises me as a guest. I usually don't notice this until after i've read all the new posts, which of course are no longer counted as read when I'm logged in as paintfly. (and yes, the remember me box is ticked) Sort it out guys.
  2. A new seat is probably next on my wish list. I quite like the look of the Crazy Creek SOT III, as reviewed over on AA, but don't fancy risking the extra taxes from a US supplier. Which one is yours?
  3. Is that a new seat you've got there Darnsarf? Looks v. comfy
  4. Found this: http://www.coastalradio.org.uk It lists all the base stations for the UK, Ireland and Channel Is. Also UK Coast Guard broadcast times, although these are due to change on Feb 1st. All downloadable on PDF. I had a problem downloading it today so, sent him an email. He sent them to me as attachments. I'm sure he'll do the same for anyone else; alternatively, PM me. I know there’s always 999, but it could also be a good idea to list the phone numbers of all the Coast Guard stations. The only one I know is Falmouth: 01326 317575
  5. Wow! it seems Tubers are just as big in the tackle tart stakes as we are. Respect! I would guess the only major difference is in terms of speed of mobility and penetration. Reminds me very much of the debates we used to have about the relative merits of hang gliders and paragliders. Really like the look of that rain canopy, keeps the wind off your back too. Want one for my yak. Question is, will I be able to get one before Richi
  6. Nice one mate Knew you'd have a good one if I baled out What was the wind like? They were giving 17 mph on my map
  7. Anybody fished here? I'm looking to paddle round from Newhaven, or wherever I can find the nearest slipway to launch my kayak. Any info (tides, currents, species, bait, launch posibilties etc) gratefully received
  8. Like ELO and be a Foxes supporter?... Nah! nobody could be that uncool ONLY JOKING!!! Welcome to the forum Izzetafox. Look forward to hearing about your progress in this great sport of ours
  9. Oh gawd now you gone an dunnit, I won't any sleep tonight thinking about this. Top 5 from every decade would have been easier. Frank Zappa - Overnite Sensation Little Feat - Last Record Album Ian Dury & The Blockheads - New Boots & Panties (or a Best Of) Nirvana - Nevermind Arctic Monkeys - Whatever You Say I am, I'm Not
  10. There you go Dave, that's virtually a meet already, just needs someone with the contacts, experience and ability to take charge of organising the practical arrangements....
  11. Seeing as we're still on Springs tomorrow, where in the Solent? Me and Richi trying to think of somewhere safe for an evening session when it's stiopped raining. Any ideas?

Just saw the 6.30 weather, gave rain all day Sat up until 3pm. Then looks like it passes through because it gave clear for Sunday morning. Didn't say what time it stops raining on Sat evening though. Idiots! don't they realise we might want to go fishing at night?
  13. (just had to check the date and make sure it wasn't April 1st)

Hmm not too sure about that. UV is incredibly destructive; there's also frost damage to think about. A simple tarp draped over it would do a lot to prevent both.
  15. About time you and your bean mates started thinking about organising a C.I. meet isn't it Dave?
  16. What about Portugal, Southern Spain, North Africa, must be able to do something for that kind of budget surely?
  17. Well, the fishing over Xmas was a bit disappointing this year down in Cornwall, due to the weather, so I've been thinking about a fishing trip somewhere hot next year instead. So here's an opportunity for everybody to indulge in a bit of fantasising. Where would you go? I'd want to be able to fish on my own as well as doing a couple of charter trips. And just to make it fun as well as practical for me to get a few ideas, lets say you have 2 choices: 1. A money no object destination 2. A budget choice, 5 or £600-ish all in
  18. Still better than being beaten to waxing lyrical twice! (See post 26)
  19. Link don't work. Guess I'll just have to comb through it myself
  20. And you can buy beeswax where? Hive no idea
  21. I was wondering what happened to that photo Remind me not to anchor down wind of you when you're eating a chocolate bar
  22. Quite right Simon. I tried on all the top of range drysuits and it was just an obvious choice despite the Power Rangers colour scheme. (And the collar is vewy cumfy wumfy )
  23. Hi Paul, Great unit, but I was wondering about vulnerability coming through the surf zone. I got dumped again by one of those "Great! I'm home and dry" last minute breakers down in Cornwall. Fortunately, as the landing looked a bit hairy, I'd lashed down all my rods with the paddle keeps, as well as anything else I could lose if things went t*ts up, as indeed they did. Everything, that is, except my nav light, which I forgot about and is designed to detatch easily. Neeedless to say, it got ripped out of its mounting on my cool box, although the damge only amounted to one screw being lost. As we both know to our cost, if it sticks up, it's most likely to get broken in a dumping. I know you're well capable of coming through most surf situations backwards with your eyes closed, whistling Dixie , but even so... PS I'm off all week, if you fancy a squirt gimme a shout
  24. And stick a sponge behind your seat and squeeze it out every so often - makes a huge difference
