The fact that we are seeing some of our summer fish all yaer now may not be a good thing.

Saw a 1/2 dozen or so schoolies caught by a couple of commercial rod men on a small boat in THE RACE off Portland Bill Tues Morning!!! Was on a charter boat going off on Wrecking trip!!! Ps I managed 50lb plus ling on first wreck - freezer full of food for once! Was starting to starve!!!

I often see garfish swimming around below the  lights in the harbours on winter evenings.

They do not seem to be feeding and are hard to catch.

We've had gars in the shirvy at night when congering. Good fun whilst waiting for a bite on the bottom rods, but you have ot watch out for the 5lb pollack that turn up.
