me and my wife are going to try and fish for mackeral this sunday we are gonna take feathers but want to know whats the best way to fish for them and can you catch them on say a pulley rig and if so what baits are best?

Hiya, I would think that spinning feathers would be better, if you can get hold of some silver flashers,try them,(they're not expensive)once you cast them,give them a tug,then a couple of winds, tug then wind,and so on.This makes the lures look like small fish darting about. Tho' on saying that,we have had them picking up static baits hard on the bottom, but in my experience that is fairly unusual.Hope this helps,and let us know how you get on.

You don't need any bait like John E Ashford showed this awhile back. The rig you use, buy them in any tackle shop.This is how it's done watch the action. clever lad John
