Hi everyone :)

I just joined the Anglers Net Forum today. I am currently developing a website for fishing through out Dumfries and Galloway. It's called http://www.floatingline.com

Is there any one out there who fishes over this way? I would be most greatful if some of you fisherfolk would give the site a once over and post up your comments and suggestions.

Cheers

Kelly

Hello again, :)

I see the webmasters forum, ok, I am not a member yet but will join up (if they let me). I really wanted to get opinion from everyone not just the webmasters, after all the site is for anyone interested in fishing in Dumfries and Galloway.

Thanks very much for your kind words. I take on board the necessity for more info on course fishing and sea fishing.

Although I love course and sea fishing but I must addmit I generally tend to rely on the person I go with for advice on tactics and technique etc.

I love fishing for perch with my Grandad Down South. I really enjoy fishing for pike using the fly, we have a float tube and an inflatable pontoon boat and my Dad has written an article about the subject which I have published on the website. If you have been course fishing or sea fishing or indeed river fishing in the area and would like to contribute I would delighted to hear from you.

Thank you both for having a look I appreciate it.

Cheers Bobby

That’s brilliant I shall give it a good read.

I know that up Newton Stewart way there is supposed to be some really excellent course fishing. The Rivers Bladnoch and Cree and many still waters up there have a really good reputation.

The Annan has some big old grayling in it. I had one about 2.5 pounds a couple of weeks ago when I was salmon fishing. I thought that was pretty big but many have now told me that 3lb + Grayling are caught regularly on the Annan.

Does any one else have any information or personal experience of fishing in this area?
