based in ware just looking to make a bird food base mix with a little extra protein

Pop down the A10 to Simpsons of Turnford. About 15 minutes from Ware.

 

As for what maybe Mainlines The Grange ?

I work in Ware and there is a tackle shop in the town - don't use it myself so I don't know what it stocks in the way of carp baits.

 

Other's; as mentioned you can go down the A10 to Simpsons, go across to Stevenage (Popletts ?) or go into Baldock to North Herts Angling. Lastly the bait company are based not far from Ware in one of the little villages somewhere. I'm pretty certain they sell base mixes etc as well as doing bait rolling.

Well good luck hunting them all down. In most cases you will probably have to buy in serious bulk otherwise they won't deal with you. Oh and there are a few tackle shops that sell almost all the bait components i.e. the caseins etc - the only one I know that deffinately did though is Harefield tackle.
