2 questions: freezing boilies and attaching PVA bags?

There's an old, but still relevant, articl here on the use of PVA:

Julian Grattidge is currently working on another one, specific to carp fishing.

I like to tie my bags using PVA tape and hook placement depends on where I'm casting. My own preference, for short casts, is just to nick the neck of the bag. That way, I can feather the cast, pull the rig back slightly and know that the hook length will be straight. Well, that's the theory :D

I even did it like that with these big boys:

Good luck!

Why don't use the Anchor Weight system when using the PVA bags? As this fantastic new lead system from Anchor Tackle "Anchor BDS" allows you to attach your PVA bags to the leads in seconds using the rubber ring fitted in the groove around the lead.

It does away for the need of PVA string and the bag is held firmly in place when full of bait.

Casts in excess of 100m are easily possible without disturbing the bag.

There are two leads available, swivel and in-line in a range of sizes up to 115g.

The 30g (1.1oz) leads are supplied in a pack of 3.

I have used this for my carp fishing especially the inline version

Growing old is inevitable but growing up is optional
