Chris,

Will Bivvies be allowed at the swims  or did I read somewhere that all Bivvies/Tents will be erected in another place away from the swims  .

And, mjk not to my knowledge is my twin. It seems sometimes when I reply to a post or PM someone, its either they don't recieve the PM or the post dosn't show, or they get loads of PM's or posts? :D:D:D Strange going on's

Bivvies are allowed at the swims. With hopefully over 100 anglers there, I hate to think what the "social" would be like if we were all bivvied up in the same place - i doubt much angling would get done- just serious drinking!!

The event, whilst being a good excuse to raise money for Macmillan, is also a true angling weekend, withy the possibility of Personal bests being broken in every lake.

Just to let you know that we now have 60 people signed up, and still have 9 weeks to go. Ideally we want around the 100 mark to give us a chance of raising the money we need to break the £50,000 barrier.

Please spread the message around to anyone you know who might be interested in the event, but may not have access to the web.

Thanks

Hot of the press from the RMC site

"Ian Welch has kindly given us the Copse Lake to use, for the event, as far as we know there are only 8 swims on there, so if you fancy a weekend fishing for bream, this is the one for you."

If anyone wants to fish this lake, when you apply, just write the lake name on the application form.

  • 2 weeks later...

As a matter of interest, from those of you attending, how are you getting on with fund raising / sponsorship, and what basis are you getting people to you for?

69 tickets have now been sold. Last year we had 104 people there, and would like to try and beat that number this year.

So, any help in recruiting a few more people would be well received. Pass the message around and lets see if we can get a few more people.

Don't forget, it's not just a specialists weekend, as there's something for everybody at Yateley, plus the social is great, and it's all for a worthwhile cause.

There are still some tickets left for anyone who is interested.

Please pass this around to as many people as you know.

Thanks
