how to tight a boilie?

Recommended Posts

best way to fix a boilie would be via a simple hair rig matey !!

best recipe? how longs a peice of string? various different manufacturers, base mixes, flavourings, additives etc..

How to fish with a boilie? again its what you feekl best doing, some people might adives to use a kilo of freebies some might not use any and use single high attract hookbaits.

If i may be a little bit presumptious here but are you a newbie to carp fishing? what i would suggest is buy some pre-tied rigs from the local tackle shop, buy a bag of readymades off the shelf and go to the local lake and try out variousthinghs. when you become confident in your ability (not meaning to sound harsh) then maybe attempt to make your own rigs. took me 3 months before i tied my own rig etc.. keep everything simple ! this thread could go on for ages ! advice, as mentioned keep it simple and dont be afraid to asjk questions to other carp anglers, they wont bite :D

Hi mate, i`m in a similar situation and just setting up but have been practicing making the hair rig as mentioned above. I would agree with Cesh and buy a ready made rig so you can see what your aiming for, but as for using them for any length of time, i`d just practice making your own and u`ll soon get it. As i say i`m completely new to fishing and just starting carping, and Kev (common 40) had me making hair rigs within minutes! Then its down to practice! and now mine are lookin pretty good. Don`t profes to know a lot lol, i aint caught on one yet! that`ll test my skills in tying!

Nothing wrong with using corn and maize mate. Carp don't always go for boilies, if they are feeding and you cast to the right area they usually take any bait you offer them, also don't assume a boilie will stop you from catching other fish. Bream and tench will happily wolf down a boilie as will a large rudd or roach, even a pike!
