Vagabond

Is it a species on your list already or would it be new to you?

I have never fished the Med, so it would hold lots of species new to me, including the above. We are saving trips to the Med until we are too old for fishing mangrove swamps and coral flats!

I have had four species of Epinephelus, but all are Indo-Pacific species.

I had a big Mero in Cuba in December I will bring a picture to Wingham to see if you can help me identify the species.

After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

Right you are - I've just put a couple of American/Caribbean field guides in the van.
