Thanks guys,I knew Loch Ken had bream pike & roach didnt know about tench will do more research on it before trying its a big body of water ,find out best places to fish,methods to use ect.I checked out the link definitely plenty to choose from like the sound of Glendarroch.Many thanks ill let you know how i do.

Broom fisheries just outside Annan (not too far from you)has a good head of tench in there as well as a host of other coarse fisheries

 

Dumfries and Galloway as a whole is'nt noted for its tench fishing but where you do find them in ponds as opposed to naturally formed lochs then they grow very big

 

 

Loch Ken Has got Tench and Bream.

Not aware of any tench in Loch Ken but it does have a very good head of bream , rumour is they're of the same genetic strain as Castle Loch bream

Castle Loch holds the Scottish record for tench at 10lb. There isn't lots in there but they are a good size. The **** Pipe seems like one of the best pegs for them and they average around 7lb. Ive never fished for them myself but I'm told maggot feeder catches them.
