nice when they turn up on Christmas day with armfuls of presents and they are thought of as a hero.....but where are they the other 364 days when they need shoes, clothes, food, school holiday moneys, babysitting, teaching how to ride their bike/swim/add-up/read etc etc?.....yep - in the pub

Guest Ferret1959

My Son has to sneak away from his Mother and her boyfriend to see me.

He lives in fear of being caught, he even hides things I buy for him so not to get caught.

I missed out on a lot of my Son acheivements in his growing up due to not having permission to see him.(it was the ex-mother-in-laws doing I might add)

But I do agree there are certain levels that can be accepted.

sorry to hear that ferret. i was born in 88 and my parents split up in 93 when i was still young.

i was fortunate in the fact my parents still get along and i got to see my dad midweek and weekends, unfortunately i havnt been so much lately which i am starting to regret, so you and your kid have best wishes.

my youngest is the "new" mother of today ,2 kids first father beat her up after she had his kid and is now in prison (for an unrelated crime) ,second one fled to New Zealand as soon as he found out she was pregnant ,theres NO excuse nowadays for unwanted children and i`m NOT condoning her actions in the slightest but if fathers want to see their kids and can be trusted to do so then they should have the rights to .

regarding my daughter her kids still see the first dads parents and are treated as grandparents they even consider the second kid as a grandchild as well,so the children are treated in a normal way as much as possible and as she gets no income from either dad we help whenever possible to supplement her life as normal parents/grandparents do.i just hope one day she`l find a boyfreind with a CAR :D

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong
