Ian FG:

Deer?

How about a horse?

This was very nearly me

A true story......

Coming out of Ipswich, towards the Copdock Tescos, is a dual carriageway. Locals will know the one I'm talking about - it is now a 40mph road, but used to be 60mph.

A few years back, with my sister sitting next to me, I was accelerating towards 60mph and overtaking a car....

A very fat donkey then ran out in front of me........and stopped!

I did a full-on emergency stop and stopped millimetres away from it. The way my front end had dipped, I'd have scooped it up really low and it would have definitely come through the windscreen.

The car was full of tyre smoke and, looking in my rear view mirror, I could see nothing but my own tyre smoke.

I was scared.

My sister was crying.

The woman in the next car was crying.

I got out, ran across a hedge and banged on somebody's door to tell them to call the police. The thought of that phone call still makes me laugh :D
