Hooks to nylon are a great invention, although sometimes the lack of choice in b/s is annoying.

 

The massive variation in hook patterns confuses me and when people start using numbers, like for the kamasan range, the phrase 'train spotter' goes through my head and I switch off.

Thats why I always reccomend learning the grinner knot as you can use it to tie to eyes or join two lengths of line together.

 

Yes it always anoys me that the larger size hooks ie 16-14 are always tied to heavy line.
