river ouse in beds/ herts

does anybody know of any stretches of the ouse that are good for barbel in beds but not too far from the herts border.

boilies I dont think you will get much closer on the ouse to the herts border than around M.K. or Buckingham.

I could be wrong and if I am somebodys sure to say so.

Where abouts in herts are you? as there are some nice barbel in the Lea. There not that massive but nice all the same.

Mainly between MK and Bedford as the cliche goes.

 

Some fun barbel bits of the Lea though around Wheathampstead and Hertford to name two.

Also don't ignore the Ivel, this has done some big barbel. In the Herts/Beds area there are a few clubs with stretches of the Ouse that are meant to be good - Blunham and District is one.

There was a 11.4 out of the Ivel 3 weeks ago.

I was fishing the river lea at stanborough a few weeks back and an 11lb 9oz barbel was taken from a stretch no more than6 foot wide!!!!!
