Why is it that...

when most fisheries allow two rods on a day-ticket, most rod-pods are designed to allow the use of three? I'd have thought two, or four...

(I'm sure there must be some funny answers)

my rod pod has only 2 positions but theoretically it could take 10 if i removed the reels and eyes.maybe the third place is for your "spare" so you can cast straight back in after a crack off ,if you count the seconds over the year you save whilst retackling the new "spare" then i`d recon its an extra minutes fishing for your permit price

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

On the contrary, Jeepster! I think maybe they do: this way, the angler who wants to use his rod-pod has to buy two tickets. The angler who buys two tickets, and wants to get his money's worth, has to buy another rod rest, possibly a second rod-pod, to put the fourth rod on. It could go on: two rod-pods and three day-tickets seems to be the satisfactory solution, with the fishery owner and the tackle shop quids in!
