I installed BABYLON as an aid to Translation and it was CRUD!!! So I un-installed it! I did so via the proper channels and I also searched ALL instances of the files and name and words "BABYLON" and deleted all of those! I use Firefox and so asked for help ONLY to find it is a WELL documented thing that BABYLON is a bitch to get rid of!

 

Anyway I thought until tonight I HAD gotten rid of it having found a reference to it in Mozilla files and deleting that. It certainly did not appear again for at least two weeks and then tonight.......... A search courtesy of BABYLON and in FRENCH!! As this was the version I downloaded. Babylon are as much use as a chocolate fireguard!! Well at least they seem hell bent on ignoring my asking for help!!

 

Anyway I tonight actually managed to get a snapshot of the page!! Now this is certainly something which I have NOT been able to get before! But not really understanding the blurb I wonder if one you more clever bods would take a look and see if you can see what the hell is sheilding the heel which is BABYLON!! Posted below!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Try re-installing Babylon. Then download and install Revo Uninstaller. Activate Revo and get rid of Babylon this way. Just be sure to only tag the bold listings in the hardcore removal stage.

 

Hope this may be of some help. Sorry can't understand compuwibblespeak.

It in FOUR (4)places… that’s why you can’t get rid of it.

 

They have Babylon files in at least 4 places…

1. Click on Tools in the address bar and then Add-ons… there’s a file there

2. Go to Program Files and find Add/ Remove Programs… There’s a file there

3. Under Program Files there is a File ‘Internet Options’, there is a file there

 

Babylon is embedded in your browser, so you must uninstall your browser… but be careful because, you need to go back on the internet and download a new browser… in my case they had saturated Firefox Babylon files, but I still had Internet Explorer. So I just uninstalled Firefox and EUREKA, Babylon was gone. Then I downloaded a new Firefox and Babylon was completely gone

Here is how I got rid of it being on my Firefox as home page when I open Firefox.

1. Open Firefox browser (You’ll see Babylon which is one piece of crap)

2. Start > Settings > Control Panel > add and remove programs (remove it)

3. Click tools on Firefox > Options > Manage add-ons > find Babylon and remove

4. Click tools on Firefox > Options > (You’ll be on General options)

“When Firefox Starts” window select “show my homepage” from drop down menu

5. On home page window (in same general options) choose “Use Bookmark” – or you can try “Restore Defaults”
