some onboard sound cards cant do 5.1 even if it says they support it. i run a n XFI extreme card [onboard sockets WONT do 5.1 gigabyte GA H61] and logitech X59 speakers takes a good 15 mins to set up after a rebuild, the X59's knock out some serious sound if you can lay your hands on a cheap set

i believe its also embeded in mobiles so sucks your batteries dry faster

you could always make up a crayfish net and take them from the river - damn lovely with some pepper and vinegar, treat em as you would prawns

IMO scrap live and get a gmail account they store your contacts and bookmarks and when you sign in automatically load to the device you sign in on. great idea for phone flashaholics and pc meddlers LOL

Many Toshiba lappy drives are a pain for hidden/locked partitions only removable with a recovery/install disk for that particular lappy.

Just to be contrary to the originals versus remake money spinner excuses in 99.9% of cases i prefer the original - Try the new Barcelona, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe album 2012 featuring a full orchestra something apparently Freddie was a little afraid of doing on the original, ignore the remix versions on the deluxe offering. Norton tends to be the main culprit for burying itself into systems, tho there is removal software available to rid yourself of it. Any seller worth their salt will tailor the software - eg. remove unwanted garbage for you - the grabbing box shifters at Pcworld,Comet, Curry's etc are an exeption to this . A quick google will find FREE virus software removal tools if needed.

Win 8 sux - it constantly phones home to check its legal so ca baulk when trying to use without an internet connection, plus its more suited to touchscreens as thats what microshaft had in mind in development. there is a bolt on for a start button just have a shufty on mydigitallife forums

stands are a ball breaker as are custom hoods - try to find a local manufacturer or glaziers with experience of tanks --- theres always ebaggage or aquarist classifieds for a secondhand one if you have transport its only bout 90 mins down to here

Depends on size of tank, usually as cheap to buy new - but if your quite handy theres plenty of tank building/refurb info on the web - a 48*18*12 runs about 50 quid round here. Make sure you use aquarium silicone sealant and NOT normal silicone,

Aj is quite correct they are there for that reason, and if weakened there is a serious chance your tank could split. If these are failing i would consider a new tank or drain and reseal as other joints may also be failing and you could hear a pop in the night.

Just to add many things can affect your water quality eg. flood waters, farmers run off, those damn water co's flushing pipes with whatever before you put it in your tank and dechlorinators wont help if it happens - i learnt the hard way and damn expensive. I run all my tank waters through a HMA unit for my own peace of mind. 30 sec vid of my latest some of my big boys

bit late on this but IME just dont fully fill the tank, when replacing straps.

In freshwater aquaria the bacteriological cycle will stall at around 5.5, i say at about as this is also due to other factors, eg. temp, hardness etc. and if stalled or stopped will dump out the good bacteria, usually seen as bottom dust in an aquarium. Plenty of diffused air and tank-safe type products will assist in bio repair - check eyes and gills for signs of an in distress fish. I keep Discus and can NEVER get my ammonia level under 0.25, but my stock are happy and healthy {bright eyed and bushy tailed} If your looking to fix you PH try putting some coral sand in a clean sock, it will push it to the upper 7 range. Fish can tolerate slow changes in enviroment, its just the big swings you should avoid. As a PPS - NEVER EVER use chemicals to alter water chemistry.

nay problemo. IMO ALL mail packages have their drawbacks its a question of finding one you can live with. eg. the spam filters in TBird are a bit of a pain to educate office dislikes gmail as its a google product and stay well away from windows 8 its bloody awful [especially metro]

delete it and use summat sensible, was a dedicated office/outlook user but it just wont play nicely with my android, so am now on Thunderbird.
