I just got a copy of Dick Cleggs angling products catalogue and theres some float making stuff in it.

Hiya try going for a walk in the countryside and pick up crow quills great for making floats. When you have some quills go down to the local model shop and get some Balsa drill hole thru centre and fit to the quill and shape it. Using sand paper.
