I have added dessicated coconut and coconut milk to ground bait while fishing in Thailand to try to spice it up. Not sure if it made a huge difference, but it was dirt cheap in the local Thai shops and so worth ago. It certainly did not put the fish off, not sure whether I could be bothered to go to the trouble of preparing coconut from the shell.

 

I have not been tempted to try it at home as it costs more here, but as you won it might be worth ago if you shred it up.

Just won 4 coconuts on a coconut shy.... Wondering if it was worth me freezing some of the inside scrapings for summer fishing?

Anyone tried it?

Do Coconuts need preparing for the fish?

Good work mate, you must have deadly throwing arm!

 

I'm almost certain Mainline Cell boilies have coconut in. They definatly smell like they do. I've used them for a couple of years and they have caught me plenty of carp. Always meant to get a tin of coconut cream to stick in my spod mix. Pucka! uh oh, given the game away now. I'll get me coat.....

Don't coconut husks make a large part of many of the shop-bought groundbaits out there??

 

I seem to remember it was one the main constituents in many of them.
