All the fishing politics that I have encountered over the past few months seems very much akin the trade unions trying to poach members, trade organizations trying to poach members, shooting organizations trying to poach members and they all want to represent everybody involved in their particular business/passtime.

Trying to get millions of people to give you a few quid a year is the biggest growth industry going.

Unfortunately, as has been seen in the pension industry and the welfare state, the contributions are not always managed efficiently, few are seen to be controlled democratically and the main beneficiaries are those who are employed in the organization/institution.

A bit like working for a large firm. More energy is put into preserving their job than benefitting the company.

Expence accounts are wonderful, aren't they?
