Latest forecast model data is showing the development of a highly unusual situation for the time of year.

 

The area of low pressure approaching from the southwest which is now bringing heavy outbreaks of rain to Ireland and Wales is expected to develop much more significantly than originally expected.

 

In conjunction with the threat of heavy rain there is now also a risk of gales and even perhaps severe gales, highly unusual for the time of year.

 

At the moment parts of Ireland, North Wales, Northwest England & Southern Scotland are at risk of experiencing 40 to 50mph winds during the course of Saturday night and more especially into Sunday.

 

With trees in full leaf some felling of trees is expected and combination of the strong winds and heavy rain will produce hazardous travelling conditions.

 

 

Not particularly bad weather, but very unusual for this time of year!

I was shooting outdoors in it yesterday and it did blow you about a bit at times (and that was 'down south'). Quite a lot of leaf and small branches littering the roads as well.

 

Still when the sun came out and in the sheltered spots, it was nice and warm !
