River Dove

Anyone know how the Dove is fishing? Heading there in a few weeks.

 

What are the best tactics to use etc...

i fished the dove last monday, had three barbel out to 7lb4oz, with the other 2 being 6lbers, my mate went on saturday and had a chub out when barbeling. stil if i recall aint you fishing the upper stretches or was that someone else?

if you want a good meal while you're up this way, check out the peacock at rowsley, just the other side of bakewell, on the A6. the second best meal in derbyshire i reckon (i cook the best ) loads of good walks up this way too.

avoid fishing the derwent unless you're desperate, it's not worth the effort
