powerbait for trout on a res,legal or illegal

im going fishing up the res saterday for some trout but debating whether to use powerbait any body know if its legal?

Depends entirely on that particular fishery's own rules. What reservoir is it, someone may know.

its ponsticill up in brecon, never fished ther before or used powerbait thanks for that

It's a mixed coarse and trout fishery, and some of the info on the web suggests that it's spinner, fly or worm only for trout, but it isn't clear.

 

I found this info for day tickets, maybe give them a ring and ask.

I only know of it from a fly fishing forum I read, where it is mentioned occasionally.

 

Based on the manner in which it is mentioned, I think it must mean something like "puppy strangling" or possibly "granny molesting" or "Satan worshipping".

 

It's actually a Berkley paste bait for trout;
