Carp Weight

Just got this pic off the friend who took it and wondered what the weight of the carp was. It was taken in the height of summer while surface fishing. What do you think its weight is?

I know Docklow Pools. Pretty famous place with regular visits from the celebs! Bit out of my range mind . You could get lost at that place. There is LOADS of pools to fish !

I'd say between 6&7 lb. it looks a nice fish as well.

 

Always always always use an unhooking mat, even if it's only to protect a small fish that as gaffer says may miss behave. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Looks like im buying an unhooking matt in the spring! . Dawia do a nice padded one thats about £12 i see.

I'm going up to Leominster later in the year, I may drop into Docklow if I get the time. I'll probably be fishing a little bit of the Wye I know, but who knows. When I fished Doclow before, I seem to remember it held the Match weight recors.

Nice fish. The other guys seem to be about right with the 6-7lb estimate. I would suggest you do buy an unhooking matt as you can use it for many species: barble, carp, tench, bream etc.. As the others have said its good practice.
