just got a new fleece hat from gadner takle to keep the head from freezing.it has gardner logo on the front and on the back are the words skin up,to what does skin up reefer to?    :confused:  

it saves having to say it when your really stoned,just look at ya mate tap on hat he knows...typical carp boy garment...

A piker wouldn't, so no problem there!!

 

My understanding, 60's vocabulary, was one of two things. A 'greaser' would be putting on his leathers, a 'mod' would be putting on a condom. So from a Mods perspective a fleece hat, with Garderners catch phrase on it, might infer that the wearer is something of a 'd*ckhead'! Which takes us back to that nasty rumour about wearers of white socks!
