True, but I think such programmes have to be. A 'real time' CTI would be pretty boring most of the time, the books make no secret of the preparations, assistance and editing that took place. I'm sure Bowler would've eventually caught the 'impossibles' without the additional support and pre-baiting services, it just would've taken a lot longer and cost a lot more.

 

I think APFA comes across as being less contrived and again the book seems to confirm this, probably because monster specimens weren't the sole objective.

 

I'll have to watch CTI again and give it another chance, I can watch APFA over and over again without getting bored.

It's never a 'six', let's put it back
