I'm sure I've seen powdered salmon fry for sale.

Are you thinking of *Salmon Fry Crumb*?

I think that is for feeding Salmon fry rather than consisting of them.

It's a good bait ingredient anyway.

Distinctly possible!

A couple of points on carp fry.

It must be remembered that as carp are not indigenous their spawning cycle is a bit out of sync with our British weather! Please let us not base everything around carp!

In the days of the Water Authorities and indeed during the NRA's time there were several schemes ran by where they would take carp fry from waters that had sucsessfull spawnings but poor over wintering rates and grow them on in smaller, sheltered waters. The carp once they had grown sufficiently were then used to stock various waters including a percentage being returned to the origonal venue. All this was done for free.Wouldnt mind betting if clubs were to contact their local EA office similar schemes are still being run. After all many are still ran by the same people as in the WA/NRA days!

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Steve Burke:

I agree with Leon.  Just ask fish breeder, Ken Crow, for instance.  He'll tell you that some carp fry themselves are cannabilistic from the day they're born.  Indeed, the carp we catch probably were cannibals as fry - in fact they're likely to be the only ones that have survived!  I doubt they've have stopped eating fry now they're bigger.

my two cents.. they are cannabilistic no matter what size or age
