thanks to all who wrote.. it's about time we got new blood .. hope he will keep it up.. his second time of going he caught a 4ld mirror carp...now he wants to catch some thing bigger.. what can i say.!!!!! my be one day he will fish for |England.. well we can all dream.... tight lines to you all..

Excellent! Let's hope he stays hooked for life ... but there will be things in skirts and things in bottles to be evaluated in the future too!

 

And I hope he soon discovers that there are other species and other methods!

My son had a funny habit of catching a 5lb+ fish from the oddest of situations. he went carp crazy and then became despondent when the big wuns stoopped coming.

But it took a bridge and a shoal of very visible rudd/roach to really fire him up about catching smaller fish.
