Read through the replies. It was a bit like listening to a group of 13-y-o lads discussing women.

 

It is exasparating to learn, that irrespective of whether these guardianistas are anti-angling, pro-angling, or neutral, they all refer to C & R as "throwing" fish back. So much for convincing the chattering classes about anglers' concern for fish welfare.

Well she totally misses the point - it's not about killing.

 

I really enjoy fishing and I really enjoy eating fish that I've caught. I hate killing them, and as a result tend to forsake the eating and be satisfied with the fishing - even when my ticket gives me the option.
