Best Lake in essex

What is the best lake to fish for roach, perch and many more fish and what is the better to use there ledgers or floats.

wake valley pond near epping used to have some very big carp in, some nice tench to, going back a few years so i dont know if its the same, used to be free water as well

The Warren at Stanford Le hope is a good mixed fishery.

 

Slough house lake at Bulphan a very very easy carp fishery, multiple catches of double figure fish are possible, it also has a good head of silverfish that no one fishes for.

 

Gloucester Park Lake, Basildon, another very well stocked mixed fishery,

 

I've fished all three of these this season and had good results at them all

Seeing as you live in chelmsford you could do a lot worse than join Chelmsford Angling association.

 

They have some of the best lakes in the county.

For the best fishing in Essex I would suggest CAPS, CDAA and Maldon. If you are interested in just bagging up and not specimen fish then look at Colnes AS.
