Fishing for trout

First problem is finding out what methods are allowed on the water you wish to fish. Many 'Trout' rivers and lakes are 'Fly' only.

If 'any method' is allowed then trout will take just about anything!

Bread,Worms,Maggot,Paste, tickling, pellet / ciggy butt, all do well, But to get a good fat trout a small mepps spinner can't be beat.

Jealousy: totally irrational anger directed at people who happen to be richer, prettier, thinner, cleverer and more successful than you are.

For trout a size 14 hook, 4/5lb line and a worm is a safe bet. Saying that they will take almost anything as tog said, bread paste is my favourite. It depends on whether you are fishing a stillwater or a river as to the exact set up you should use.

Bread is good on the fly pools when the going gets tough....err...alledgedly.

Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail
