Hi all,

 

Had a bit of an absence from the forum due to starting the new job and various other life events but just saying hi again as its been a while (or feels like it). So did I miss anything good?

Thats a shame. Hope you are well too anderoo.

 

Fine thanks Rik, hope you're well. Not much fishing lately as I'm waiting for the rivers to fill up and start flowing properly, but hopefully it will soon be chub time again. If my local rivers still aren't right after xmas I'm going to have to get some club books for a little further afield, I can't sit here kicking my heels all winter!

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

This Years' Targets:- As many species by lure as possible. Preferably via Kayak. 15lb+ Pike on Lure...

Species Caught 2012- Pike, Perch.

Kayak Launches- Fresh-8 Salt- 0

Kayak Captures- 14 Pike, 1 Perch.

Im really good thanks RR. Dying to get fishing again as its seems like forever since I last got out. Its annoying when life gets in the way of a good session isn't it lol. Problem now is I have to weigh up my options and decide what to do for my first session back. Looking like it will certainly be after xmas or even new year now but can't wait. Only problem is my window of opportunity will most likely last until march when the baby comes along :o . Then it will be tough times again with regard to getting out on the bank. Been looking for some inspiration on here for my next session. Anderoo mentioning chub has peaked my interest. I might have to hit the ribble with the loafer and see if I can hunt out a nice chub.

 

Anderoo I know it must be frustrating not being able to get out as much as you would like. I have had to sit there putting tiles on the wall in the bathroom while dreaming of the river bank lol. I only wake up from the dream when the mrs cracks the whip again :D .

It is frustrating, but that's nature for you and I wouldn't have it any other way. Can't have a perfect season every year!

I've been doing the exact same thing! New bog, bath and sink... Tiling... Painting... just the panelling and flooring to go... Oh, and the grouting... Deepest darkest joy...

 

I remember fishing, its that thing you do with a stick innit?

 

Honestly, try lure fishing. Hardly any kit, pick it up in a moments notice and 'have a quickie'!.. Then go fishing... Perfect for short sessions and good for the wily old Chub too :)
